Bubble Coral
Originating from the diverse tropical reef of Fiji, the Green Bubble Coral is an exotic LPS coral that, surprisingly enough, has soft, puffy, bubble-shaped polyps. Bubble coral requires a moderate amount of lighting and water flow, but not too much water flow. Too strong of water current will prevent the polyps from expanding fully. And, because they are big and soft, bubble coral polyps are fragile and can be punctured easily, so handle with care.
Additionally, like other LPS corals, bubble coral have long sweeper tentacles that they use to sweep the area around them for threats, and will inadvertently sting neighboring corals. Therefore they should be placed at a safe distance from other corals. Despite all of the above, bubble coral are fascinating creatures that will add an exotic and interesting twist to any reef aquarium and with the proper care and nutrition, will grow and thrive.
